Risk Monitoring Application for a Global Bank
Client Situation
An international bank with over 1,000 branches wanted to improve their quality assurance processes. Here’s the situation they were dealing with:
- They were using multiple risk-check Excel sheets, which often resulted in untrustworthy data and errors.
- Their risk reports were localised and did not provide an organisation-wide view.
- There was a lack of trust in the reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs) were not being followed properly.
Solution

We developed an integrated risk-check application and generated
reliable reports:
- We mapped out the risk-check process, identified issues and opportunities and created a custom application.
- Custom risk-reports were created for seven different teams.
- A minimum viable product was ready in just two weeks.
- Full deployment to production took 12 weeks.
Outcomes
- The risk-check process was standardised and a centralised database was created, providing a single source of trustworthy data.
- This allowed for an organisation-wide view of compliance across all branches, risk areas and themes
- The process was automated for over 1 200 users.

Energy Utility Price Intelligence Platform
Client Situation
The client wanted to establish fair pricing standards for their material and stock items. Here’s the situation they were dealing with:
- The client couldn’t easily see or track the pricing data for their material and stock items, which included over 4 000 different items.
- There was significant variation in the procurement prices per item from different suppliers, making it difficult to establish fair pricing standards.
- In some extreme cases, the client was being overcharged, with markups exceeding 1 000% compared to market-related information. This highlighted the need for a more structured and transparent pricing system.
Solution

To address these issues, a price intelligence system was introduced:
- The system analysed 10 years of historical price data for all items. This helped to create a benchmark for fair pricing over time.
- A thorough comparison of price ranges was conducted for all material and stock items. This included analysing past buying data to identify patterns and anomalies.
- Additionally, a user-friendly interface was developed. This interface allowed users to read, create and update item information easily. It also made it easy to add benchmark prices and legislative boundaries to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Outcomes

The development of the project management framework and app led to several positive outcomes:
- The greater visibility of historical pricing helped the client to make informed decisions, ensuring fair prices and cost efficiency.
- The secure system also improved buying controls, preventing unauthorised changes and maintaining data integrity.
Application Tracking System

National Graduate Employment Solutions (NGES) is a new organisation focused on helping graduates move from education to employment. Here’s the situation they were dealing with:
- They were using basic SharePoint lists, which were inefficient and required lots of manual work.
- They needed a better way to manage their job application support for graduates.
Solution

Here’s what we did to help:
- We developed an application tracking power app that integrated with external forms filled out by graduates.
- The app allowed NGES to easily add new job postings and automate job application submissions for graduates.
- We also included Power BI reports, providing NGES with helpful dashboards to track application progress and make informed decisions.

- With this new system, NGES could spend more time supporting graduates and less time on manual tasks.
